Most families have a place that’s seen as ‘homebase’, where folks come together for holiday gatherings, special events or other occasions. Over time, it might become an ancestral link for the ‘family line’. Plus, as a physical place, things get passed down generations.
These days, folks are spread far and wide across states and borders. The location might not be made of wood or stone. So this site is a digital space & social hub for celebrating, elevating and empowering family members at home and beyond. As you’ll see from our debut issue, the blog/portal is made possible by four main families:
- Steele Family of Jamaican roots, now extends from New York to Florida to California.
- Salami family of Togo Africa roots is Maryland & West Virginia based.
- Jackson family having African American roots, is South Carolina & New Jersey based.
- Mitchell family having Guyanese roots, is Delaware & New York based.
Hey…we see you fam!
